U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has released a new iOS app called 'Operation Predator' that aims to help fight and prevent child exploitation.
This app makes it easy for the public to report suspected child exploitation in their community. As part of Operation Predator, the public can use this app to help U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agents identify and locate suspected child predators, and protect victims from further abuse.

The new Apple iPhone 5s may be in very short supply when it launches on September 20th due to 'terrible' production yields on the fingerprint scanner, says Jefferies analyst Peter Misek.
Forbes reports on an investor note from Misek in which the analyst lowers his fiscal 2014 EPS estimate from $38.78 to $37.95 vs. the Street’s $42.66 "due to the iPhone 5c being priced like Apple's prior generation handsets rather than at a new level and our checks indicate 5s supply constraints due to poor yields on the fingerprint sensor."

Early iPhone 5s Graphics Benchmarks Show Significant Improvements
Early graphics benchmarks for the iPhone 5s have surfaced on gfxbench showing significant improvements.
Comparing the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5 on the Egypt benchmark reveals notable performance improvements. The iPhone 5s improved from 41.1fps on the onscreen test to 53.0fps. On the offscreen test the iPhone 5s improved to 56.0fps from the iPhone 5's 29.8fps.

Apple is Granted License Allowing iPhone to Launch on China Mobile's Network
Apple has been granted the final license necessary to launch its iPhone on China Mobile's network standard.
According to the website of China's Telecom Equipment Certification Center Wednesday, Apple was given a "network access license" for a handset resembling the iPhone that runs on the mobile standards used by China Mobile for third and fourth generation cellular services. Other licenses were given to Apple for handsets running the technology used by both China Unicom and China Telecom.

Apple has increased the accident incident fee for AppleCare+ to $79 per incident from $49 per incident.
AppleCare+ for iPhone extends repair coverage and technical support to two years from the original purchase date of your iPhone and adds coverage for up to two incidents of accidental damage due to handling. Previously, each accident repair was subject to a $49 service fee plus applicable tax. That has now been increased to a $79 service fee.

iPhone 5S Includes New 'M7' Motion Coprocessor for Health and Fitness Tracking
During Apple's iPhone media event today, SVP Phil Schiller announced that the new iPhone 5S includes a new "M7" chip, also known as a "motion coprocessor", that works alongside the new phone's A7 chip to continuously measure motion data.
The new chip captures motion data from the compass, accelerometer and gyroscope to enable a new generation of health and fitness apps for the iPhone. Apple also announced that there is a new CoreMotion API in iOS 7 that identifies user movement and optimizations based on contextual awareness.

Internally, the iPhone 5S will feature a 64-bit A7 processor that will be up to twice as fast at CPU tasks. Another significant new feature is a "Touch ID" capacitive fingerprint sensor built into the home button that's capable of scanning sub-epidermal skin layers.
